The 4th of December, marks the official start of UK Charity Week and Leukaemia & Myeloma Research UK (LMRUK) is proud to again be an Official Partner Charity.

UK Charity Week is an annual campaign aimed at raising awareness of the important work of charities across the country and encouraging people to show their support throughout the week.

Now in its 11th year, the campaign, organised by charity sector publication – Charity Today – is determined to place charity awareness and fundraising high on the national agenda, particularly at a time when people are statistically at their most giving.

As an Official Partner Charity, LMRUK will be playing an active role throughout the week to raise awareness of its work in finding more effective treatments for blood cancer using stem cell therapies.

Each day during UK Charity Week has its own theme;

  • Monday: Celebration of Charity – celebrate charity workers, volunteers, fundraisers and supporters.
  • Tuesday: Give 5 Day – whether it’s donating £5, volunteering 5 hours, or sharing 5 social media posts – little things make a big difference.
  • Wednesday: Charity BIG Bake – whip up some tasty treats and host your own bake sale for friends and colleagues.
  • Thursday: Christmas Jumper Day – wear your favourite festive knit and donate £1 to charity.
  • Friday: Volunteers’ Day – give some of your time to help a charity close to you, or donate pre-loved goods to support others.
